After teasing the competition with his strong & stout robust figure, pleasing personality, cool looks and two consecutive hits, Arindam is now the talk of the town. Being so many years in the industry, acting is now his inseparable passion. But it is interesting to know that Arindam’s primary fascination was towards sports. While sharing his journey Arindam expressed recently to Odiaone how all this began.
Arindam has come from a family which was never exposed to film or cinema. He himself had never thought of coming to acting. He is out an out into sports and that too in Taekwondo. From a very small age, he had practiced, played, competed in state & national level and has won many medals for Taekwondo. He was so strongly well and fared in it that he got state scholarship and central government scholarship for it. He was a state champion in Taekwondo for more than 10-15 years. Being so capable, he is also Black belt in Taekwondo.
It all happened when Hara Patnaik’s assistant Mandeep Mukherjee introduced Arindam to Hara Patnaik as he was looking for new face for his cinema. All went well till the producer was reluctant to take risk by taking new face. So this first attempt of Arindam to get into cinema was failure. But this attempt made him aware and acquainted with many film personalities. Later, particularly in a party, Arindam came across Brajraj Movies’ owner Tutu Nayak who finally offered him his first role in ‘Prema Rutu Asila re’. When Tutu Nayak offered him the role, Arindam accepted it as an experiment just like ‘let’s do it and see what happens’. He had never thought of doing it as career as he was extremely passionate for his sports. But the movie became a super duper hit. Arindam started getting more offers and thought ‘let’s do another’. In this way, he did film one after another and got involved with cinema very closely. And from that day to today, Arindam is working continuously without rest. He is the new craze of the o-town and slowly riding the popularity steps one after another. Though he is still attached with sports, film has become a new passion for him.

The company which is currently managed by Sri Nayak’s son Sanjay Nayak(Tutu) has informed the media that it has already started working on its new project which will be on the floors from this September and will be released in January 2013.
